Preparation: The bacteria are spread onto a growth medium plate to create an ideal environment for testing.
Antibiotic Testing: We place disks containing various common pet antibiotics onto the growth medium plate. Alternatively, you can send us your pet’s specific antibiotics for testing.
Analysis: After incubation, we measure the zones of inhibition—areas around the antibiotic disks where bacteria cannot grow.
Results: The larger the clear zone around an antibiotic disk, the more effective that antibiotic is against your pet’s infection.
